Please help with these accting transactions?
I just need to know if these go into a purcahse journal; cash payment journal; cash receipt journal or a sales journal. I can figure the math out myself; I just need help placing it in the right journal. Please help?
1. Sold $90 in office equip for cash to an employee, Bob Bell, receipt 357.
2. Purchased $1200 in sotre equip on acct from DW, DW87m n/30.
3. Received $210 from Mark McCormick to apply on his acct. Receipt 358.
4. Sue Ellen Scott sent us a check for $308.70 in payment of her $315 acct less a 2% disc. Receipt 359
5. Purchased $1500 in mdse on acct from Hi-Tech Elect Outlet, Invoice HT99, terms 2/10, n/30.
6. Marianne sent us a $94.50 check to apply on her acct, receipt 360.
7. Sold $400 in mdse plus 5% sales tax to Mark on acct, sales slip 608, terms 2/10, n/30.
1 – we received cash so cash receipts journal
2 – we purchased on account so purchase journal
3 – we received cash so cash receipts journal
4 – we received cash so cash receipts journal
5 – we purchased on account so purchase journal
6 – we received cash so cash receipts journal
7 – we made a sale on account so sales journal
